In August 2026 APPCIOS became a subscribing organisation of PEP-web.
PEP-web is an extensive online psychoanalytic library, offering free access to books and articles for members of any subscribing organisation, in return for an annual fee from all members of that organisation. You can find out more about it here.
PEP-web’s subscribing organisations are normally traditional clinical training schools, libraries and universities.
The usual terms of the PEP-web subscription are that all members of the subscribing organisation must pay an annual fee - whether or not they wish to use their library.
However, we are not a typical subscribing organisation: we are a community first, and although we offer training pathways that is not all we do. Many of our members join us out of personal interest in psychodynamic thinking, rather than to achieve a professional clinical qualification.
We have therefore successfully negotiated with PEP-web that only those of our members who have opted to become BPC registrants - at either Full Member or Trainee Member level - are required to pay this extra annual fee.
Additionally, any member who already has access to PEP-web through another subscribing organisation will be exempt from this extra payment.
The fee for an APPCIOS Full Member registered with the BPC is £56pa in addition to the APPCIOS annual subscription.
The fee for an APPCIOS Trainee Member registered with the BPC is £36pa in addition to the APPCIOS annual subscription.
We believe that these sums are tax deductible, as are your APPCIOS and BPC subscriptions.
