Events in June
These are anxious and difficult times. We all need to support one another’s thinking.
New groups and events coming up in June:
A new monthly film discussion group.
On Wednesday 10th June at 7.30pm Susan Maciver and Richard Pratt will be convening the first in a regular series of film nights: you’ll need to supply your own popcorn.
This is an open group, and you won’t need to commit to regular attendance. But if you’re thinking of coming, just email them here so that they can tell you which film to watch in advance, and send you details of how to watch it.
Exploring Race from a Psychodynamic Perspective.
One consequence of the coronavirus pandemic has been to highlight differences and inequities within our society.
If you would like to participate in exploring the particular experience of BAME members, please email us here. Our new group will be starting in June: it is open to interested Site members of all ethnicities.
And you are very welcome to join our ongoing groups:
We hold a Psychodynamic Symposium every weekend where members of this Site can meet for live discussions around papers, articles, books, films and poems. Or just to talk.
This is an open group, and you won’t need to commit to regular attendance. We alternate meetings between Saturdays and Sundays.
Our next meeting is on Sunday May 17th at 4.00pm. If you want to join and haven’t been before, just send us an email.
This group meets on Thursdays at 5.30pm to explore the transition to screen communication and its impact, both socially and professionally. If you would like to join, send us an email here.
New groups for APPCIOS members:
If you are not already a member of APPCIOS, do consider joining us. Here’s where you can find out how to do that.
And as ever . . .
And please keep posting comments (it’s really not hard to do) and join our ongoing conversations. You can find them here, here and here - and in many other places, private and public, around the Site. Just keep exploring!
If you want to make suggestions, offer your support or ask us a question, you can always reach us at email@example.com
Membership of the Site is free, but it does cost money to maintain it. So if you’d like to make a donation, please do: just go here.
And do please keep safe, and keep thinking!
We look forward to seeing you.
With all our best wishes,
