Group Info
This series of 10 weekly webinars, beginning on Friday 17 April 2026, will offer multiple opportunities to explore and discuss various aspects of Psychodynamic Supervision within a developing group context, sharing thoughts, reflections and learn from experience while deepening appreciation and understanding.
Participants will need to have at least three years post-qualification experience after completing their professional training course and may be offering supervision or approaching doing so.
- Each Webinar will:
- take place on a Friday afternoon with two 75-minute sessions from 13:30 – 14:45 and 15:15 – 16:30 respectively with a mid-break of 30 minutes.
- involve some preparatory reading listed alongside the outline for each week.
- In the first week we will begin by:
- pooling comparative experiences as a supervisee while thinking about roles and responsibilities in beginning supervision.
- planning as a group to enable supervision work to be presented for those who wish to use the opportunity and to try to cater for particular interests.
- Each subsequent week will then be a combination of:
- a focus on a particular aspect/theme in the application of Supervision and further concerns associated with power and responsibility informed by a short reading list you will receive in advance via email each week.
- a presentation of clinical work (planned as a group in the initial Webinar as outlined in the Introduction/Rationale).
- Our aspiration is that in our exploration and encounters as a group we will be:
- curious, stimulated, perhaps even excited and ultimately able to enjoy the challenges we discover together.
- sensitive and creative in accommodating particular needs and interests as we encounter them within the webinars.
- able to accept responsibility for managing time within the framework that may lead to a wish for more … room, time, depth, range … and perhaps further planning?
- potentially able to add material and grow the reading lists to promote further appreciation, learning and development.
